Luke’s career has covered many facets of the music industry; from 8 years as Director of A&R at Universal/Manifesto, to being Executive Producer of the classic ‘Cafe Del Mar’ album series and a dj’ing career that has seen him play clubs & festivals across the globe for 20 years, even recording a Radio 1 Essential Mix. Luke’s wealth of experience has all fed into Listen Up; he founded Listen Up in 2009 as a Radio Promotions company, and alongside his partner James Mack has since overseen the expansion & development of the various services Listen Up provides.
James and Luke joined forces in early 2011 to form the press arm of Listen Up. Together they’ve taken the team from 2 to 30 full time. In early 2015 they set up the LA office of the company where James runs all business endeavours. In James’ 16 years in the music industry his portfolio of covers, extended features and number 1 records is hard to beat. Prior to James and Luke partnering up in Listen Up he managed the world famous fabric in London’s online promotion and record label releases in all territories worldwide. James then set up the bespoke online promotions company Macked before partnering with Luke in Listen Up.
Jacko brings a wealth of experience to the team with 15 years of London DJ residencies at venues such as The Cross, Turnmills and Pacha. At Defected Records Jacko also spent seven years as Promotions Manager working closely with A&R and some of the world’s most renowned music producers and DJs, as well as being Executive Producer for the Defected Radio Show.
Joining Listen Up in 2011, James has worked across a number of departments in his time at Listen Up. Gaining a wealth of valuable experience in roles at both National and Specialist Radio, Club, and Radio Syndication during his first two years, he then went on to focus on National Radio, having initially worked on projects such as Swedish House Mafia, Wiley and Avicii. James led on radio campaigns that saw the development and breakthrough of new UK talent including J Hus, Sigala and Disciples, whilst also working on established international stars including MK and Tiesto. More recently, the department has continued to build an exciting repertoire to include legendary events series, The Warehouse Project, and innovative new artists including; Oscar Worldpeace, Headie One, Theophilus London and DJ Snake.
Erin has been with Listen Up for over 6 years and with each year has grown in role and management. She has played a big part in the growth of the press team and now oversees a department of 14+ staff, and takes pride in nurturing underground acts as well as breaking new talent. Over the years she has also worked on various top ten records and worked closely with teams at Parlophone, Sony/Colombia, Virgin EMI and more.
Carina heads up the Festival & Events department at Listen Up, working across press campaigns for the likes of Parklife, South West Four, We Are FSTVL, Hospitality in the Park, Forbidden Forest. She started her career with Bang On PR where she worked across a host of artist campaigns, as well as branching out to working on event based projects like Lovebox and Meltdown festival at Southbank Centre in the UK. Honing in on a love for live events, she then worked with Family PR on festivals including Primavera (Spain), Wilderness and Somerset House Summer Series in the UK and now brings her experience and skills to the Listen Up events team.
Charlotte brings over 7 years of PR experience to her role as Head of Press, North America at Listen Up. Having nurtured many of the company’s most high profile acts, some from the beginning of their careers, and worked numerous number 1 single campaigns over the years, Charlotte’s successes at Listen Up continue to grow. Charlotte’s particular passion has been working with the company’s major label acts, which has allowed her to establish a wealth of exceptionally strong contacts not only with labels and artists, but with press globally. Charlotte has now relocated to Los Angeles to spearhead the North American press team at Listen Up.
With over 5 years experience in artist PR, Joanna works on artist and label press for Listen Up’s extensive roster. She has secured numerous high-profile international magazine covers and editorial spreads for Listen Up’s clients. Joanna leads national and international campaigns for high profile clients and emerging artists including Axwell & Ingrosso, Elderbrook, deadmau5, Marshmello, Pendulum and successful labels such as OWSLA. With a huge personal passion for electronic music, Joanna brings a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise to the table.
Previous to joining Listen Up, Dujon worked for Southampton’s highly rated Junk Club, Lovebox Festival and UK label PMR Records. Since joining the company he has risen from his original role of Press Co-ordinator to Press Manager where he has brought a wealth of industry experience and passion to a range of clients from Loco Dice and Solardo to legends Armand Van Helden and Wiley.
Gaining a degree in Communications, Olivia started her career interning at Sony and Universal before moving on to Impressive PR. She joined Listen Up in 2015 and specialises in major label artists including Jonas Blue, Martin Solveig, Gorgon City and Sub Focus. Since joining the team, Olivia has secured some impressive features across specialist, broadsheet, tabloid and lifestyle press. Olivia brings a wealth of contacts and expertise to her role as Senior Press Manager.
With over 3 years of experience in the music industry, Katerina has worked at boutique PR agencies as well as an in-house assistant for music management companies, working across both established and emerging artist projects. Through previous roles, Katerina has developed an array of skills and knowledge, bringing passion and enthusiasm to her current role as Senior Press Manager at Listen Up.
Having been part of the Events team at Listen Up for four years now, Liberty has built on her background in fashion promotion and marketing to work across a wide range of festival and club campaigns. She leads the team for Parklife and Annie Mac’s Lost & Found festival amongst others, and has also worked closely with a range of UK and international club promoters such as LWE and 93 Feet East.
Leanne joined Listen Up with over two years experience working with top fashion and lifestyle brands. Her wealth of knowledge, energy and enthusiasm is reflected in her role as Event Press Manager working on campaigns such as We Are FSTVL, MADE Festival, Hospitality in the Park, plus International festivals The BPM Festival, SuncéBeat and Big City Beats events. Utilizing her lifestyle press experience, Leanne is pleased to be working with Ibiza-based boutique Hotel Es Vivé and Café Mambo as well as Maceo Plex’s forward-thinking club residency Mosaic by Maceo at Pacha.
With a love for all things electronic, a career at the heart of the dance music industry was always Lauren’s aim. Beginning her career in music and events journalism, Lauren joined Listen Up in 2016 with over 3 years of press experience. Having previously worked on press campaigns from Kano and Tinie Tempah to Fatima Yamaha and Booka Shade, Lauren brings a fantastic understanding of multiple genres coupled with a razor-sharp knowledge of the Ibiza scene to the role.
Having worked in the music industry for over 8 years, LJ came to Listen Up with an array of previous experience from product management, marketing and management roles, taking the jump across to press in the years leading to joining Listen Up. Having worked both sides of the Atlantic at both majors and independent labels, she brings international knowledge of the press landscape for both established and emerging acts across multiple genres with passion and drive for outside the box thinking.
Louise joined Listen Up in 2017 with over two years of experience working in the music industry, having previously worked at Get In PR as a publicist for artists and events. Working with a number of clients in the Asian and US territories in her previous role, including ULTRA Music Festival and Ultra Asia, Louise brings a wealth of knowledge on the international music scene to her role as Press Manager where she now works with both major labels and specialist clients.
Having joined the Listen Up team in 2016 as a Press Intern, Frankie quickly worked her way up the ranks to become a Press Manager. She handles press duties for the likes of Waka Flocka Flame, Cedric Gervais, NAATIONS, Fakear, DJDS as well as leading electronic label, Ultra Music. Armed with a background in Digital Marketing and PR, Frankie brings a wealth of previous experience, solid work ethic and passion to her role.
With over 6 years of experience in the music industry, Mikey started out working between radio and music journalism, interning at Global Radio and contributing to the likes of Mixmag and Pulse Radio, before starting his own online music platform About To Blow. Following several years working as a writer and covering major festival and artist content, Mikey initially began his career in PR working for Jukebox, before joining the Listen Up team as Press Co-Ordinator in February 2017. Having previously worked with specialist record labels including Moon Harbour, elrow and Dirtybird, Mikey now brings his experience and understanding of campaign management to the artist field, handling clients including Claude VonStroke, Erick Morillo, wAFF, Latmun, Secondcity, Lauren Lane and more.
With a background in artist and event PR, Rob joined Listen Up as Press Manager from DawBell PR in 2018, where he worked across both print and online campaigns for Fatboy Slim, Disciples, BRIT Awards and the Mercury Prize, amongst others. Previous to this he worked at boutique agency Good Machine, looking after a roster including indie artists such as Arcade Fire, Happa and Sky Ferreira. Now at Listen Up, Rob brings a wealth of experience to campaigns for artists including Josh Wink, Bedouin and Lee Burridge.
Corrie joined the events team in June 2017 and works across press campaigns such as AMP Lost & Found, SW4 Festival, We Are FSTVL, NASS Festival and more. With over 4 years experience in the music industry as a digital and print publicist, she has worked at independent music agencies Halestorm PR and Wired PR. She has worked with established and emerging artists and record labels including Polydor, PMR, Universal and Island Records. Corrie brings an in-depth knowledge of current trends within the music industry, and is well versed in the world of fashion, urban and lifestyle media.
With a start as General Manager for LA’s biggest non commercial radio station, KXLU, Megan quickly moved up in the music industry and joined the team at Dim Mak Records before later becoming General Manager USA of Last Gang Records. She has produced and managed events ranging from weekly events at The Standard Hotel Los Angeles, to Coachella pool parties, and SXSW showcases. Megan also worked across various management rosters as the US liaison for acts including Jax Jones, Lights, Moon Boots, Riton, and more. Her depth of knowledge working in radio, marketing, events, and at labels brings a fresh look to the US press team at Listen Up.
With over 4 years of PR experience across fashion, lifestyle, and entertainment brands, Marissa joined Listen Up to pursue her passion for all things music. Having previously worked with clients including KILLSPENCER, DC Entertainment, Paramount, and many more, her wealth of knowledge within creative industries brings a fresh perspective to the US press team. Through unique campaigns and a strong network of diverse contacts, Marissa continues to deliver successful results for her artists in both the hip-hop and electronic space.
Based in Los Angeles, Kerry comes to Listen Up with 4 years of music and fashion PR experience. Working with brands and artists alike, she creates clear, cohesive strategies and consistently identifies press opportunities best suited for each of her clients. Her background includes working with AllSaints, MCM, GANT Rugger to Mykki Blanco, Demrick, Savant and others. Her extensive knowledge of today’s music and pop culture landscape helps her bring insight and creativity to her campaigns.
With over 2 years of experience in lifestyle, fashion and event PR, Alexandra moved to Listen Up to pursue her passion in music. In previous roles, she has managed celebrity red carpet events at Maxim Superbowl, Fashion Film Awards shows and worked with key brands TooFaced and Moschino. Working alongside NBC Universal for top award ceremonies including the Grammy Awards, Golden Globes and Oscars, she brings a wealth of knowledge of handling key talent during large-scale events. With an undying passion for all things electronic, Alexandra brings her extensive knowledge across multiple genres to Listen Up and provides fresh perspective and creativity to her campaigns.
An audio and music Production graduate, James has assisted world-renowned Engineers and Producers in studios across London, most notably at Metropolis Studios. James joined Listen Up through the internship programme as a Radio Promotions Assistant, bringing his knowledge of bass music and production values to the table.
Having studied Creative Music Technology at university as well as running underground music events and hosting radio shows for 5 years, Tom’s skillset is honed to that of Music Promotion. Starting out as an intern and progressing through to regional radio promotion, he now manages the streaming promotions department at Listen Up.
With student and regional radio under her belt, as well as a few years spent travelling, Victoria made the move to London, joining Listen Up last year. Since starting, she has advanced through our internship programme, now working across both National and Specialist Radio. Her passion for music, alongside a determined work ethic and vibrant energy, make her the perfect fit to the team.
In just a short space of time, Esky has had a variety of experience within the music industry. From running his own events and working at festivals across Europe (including Outlook, Dimensions and Meadows in the Mountains), he also completed various internships at booking agency CAA & Berlin-based record label !K7, all before graduating. Working as a Radio Producer, he then joined Listen Up in 2017. Since joining the National Radio team, he’s helped bring in exciting UK artists to the roster such as Oscar #Worldpeace, Ragz Originale, Murkage Dave & Tertia May.
With more than three years at Telegraph Media Group under his belt, Jake joined Listen Up in summer 2017, combining his wealth of journalistic experience with a fanatical passion and knowledge for electronic music. Having worked in the industry as a writer, and then editor, for We Rave You, Jake has interviewed some of the biggest names in the industry, including Oliver Heldens, Martin Solveig, and Seth Troxler. A diverse and dynamic writer, Jake’s extensive client list stretches to producing content for the likes of MK, Disciples, Marshmello, and Gorgon City.
With a background in fashion PR and journalism, Chanel moved to Listen Up to begin her career in music. Since starting as an intern in 2016, Chanel has progressed to the role of Press Assistant and has helped on both majors and independent label campaigns. Still active in journalism and with a thirst for all things digital, Chanel brings a wealth of experience and creativity to her role.
Having made his first steps in the industry in music journalism writing for Notion, 1883 Magazine and The Line of Best Fit, Chris joined Listen Up as Press Co-ordinator from Liberty Music PR in 2018. Having previously worked with specialist record labels and management companies including OddChild Music, Lab Records and Radikal Records, Chris now brings his PR experience and musical knowledge to handling clients such as Solardo, Mason Collective, M-22, Just Kiddin and Peking Duk.
With a background in Events PR in Ibiza, as well as a few years spent travelling, Saydi moved to Listen Up to begin her career London. Since starting as an intern in January 2017, Saydi has since progressed to the role of Events Press Assistant and has helped the Events Team across a number of clients such as; We Are FSTVL, NASS, Suncébeat & Shockout.
With a background in music journalism and previous work experience at Velvet PR, LD Comms, W Comms and Whiteboard PR, Sope joined the team as Press Assistant in April 2018. His role involves assisting Press Managers on a vast range of artist campaigns. Sope brings impeccable attention to detail to his work and always has his ear to the ground when it comes to music, culture and industry developments.
With experience across a variety of roles in the music industry, from social media management with Circulate Online to events & promotion with Bodytonic, Oisin moved to London in 2018 with a view to moving into radio. Working as our Specialist Radio assistant, Oisin brings a wealth of house & techno knowledge to the team.
Having started off with the Listen Up team as the Operations Assistant, Sarah’s position naturally progressed into a much broader role as the UK Office Manager. Strong administrative skills and thorough knowledge of the business has led to Sarah’s role changing once again. Now leading the HR & Operations team for both the UK and US offices, she drives to create a supported and enjoyable environment for all staff.
Having previously worked at Warner Music, Maddie moved on to a PA role at Xaxis where she supported three of the company’s Vice Presidents. In early 2018 she then secured a role as Personal Assistant to The Founder and Partner of Listen Up, Luke Neville and James Mack. Her supporting role as a PA for both the UK and US offices emphasises her impeccable organisational skills and highlights her as an integral part of the Operations Team. As a keen surfer, Maddie likes to spend her spare time on a Devonshire beach.
A self-starter in the music industry, Jayde got her foot in the door by starting her own music blog; writing reviews, attending shows, and interviewing a handful of musicians. She then continued professionally in PR at Republic Media, going on to spend two years at Music Glue, and joined Listen Up in 2018 as the Office Assistant. Jayde is an advocate for mental health as well as the LGBTQ community, and works closely with the HR and Operations team to ensure all employees at Listen Up are happy.
With a solid financial background and broad experience across the financial, hospitality and manufacturing industries, David joined Listen Up in 2017 as Bookkeeper/Financial Controller. David is passionate about music and running and enjoys travelling to remote locations to take part in some of the toughest endurance races.
Accomplished Bookkeeper/Financial controller with 10 years of distinguished performance in the Music industry. Broad-based background in various creative industries – TV, Music and Entertainment. Stan is a classically trained pianist with a rousing repertoire from Beethoven to Rachmaninoff.
